Adult Care Homes-FL2s
Individuals seeking admission into Adult Care Homes licensed under G.S 131D-2.4 are not required to use the revised DMA Long Term Care FL2 added to the CSC/NCTracks System on July 1, 2013. Because Medicaid does not reimburse for the adult care home level of care, FL2s are not processed through the CSC/NCTracks System. Beneficiaries should continue to follow the process set forth by the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) for the State-County Special Assistance Program and providers should continue to follow requirements of the Adult Care Home Licensure Section, Division of Health Service Regulation for licensure requirements related to the FL-2. The FL-2 will continue to be utilized to determine eligibility for Special Assistance forindividuals in residential facilities and for the Special Assistance In-Home Program. A copy of the FL-2 for Adult Care Homes licensed under G.S.131D-2.4. and for the use of Special Assistance applicants/beneficiaries will be posted in the forms section on the DMA website (http://www.ncdhhs.gov/dma/provider/forms.htm) under the heading “Adult Care Homes.”
The Social Security Administration (SSA) has given NC permission for us to use sub-accounts for deposit of SA checks as long as we are in compliance with SSA regulations. The accounts we have set up with the banks that we are receiving SSI and SS checks are compliant with SSA therefore we can use the same accounts. Expect to be notified soon directly from the state regarding the good news and the process to assist residents with authorization for the change.
