DHSR Surveys

As most of you know, Bob Fitzgerald retired in January and Jeff Horton is now Director of DHSR.  Since Jeff has taken this position I have seen a change in how the Division is operated.....for the better!!

I do believe there is greater emphasis on being more professional and consistent during surveys. And they are putting in
place an avenue for the industry to let the state know if the survey is BAD or GOOD!!

Subject: DHSR Customer Surveys

Here is a memo from myself to DHSR staff regarding the initiation of Customer Surveys for many of the providers we license or otherwise regulate. The surveys will begin this coming Monday, August 3rd and will give providers the opportunity to provide input to some of the services we provide. Here is a copy of the questions providers will be asked to respond and the third document is what will be printed on the card or paper our folks will be giving to providers at the conclusion of the inspection, which will provide direction on how to access and complete the customer survey.  We are both excited and hopeful we will gain valuable information of how our staff conduct inspections in the field, which can be used to improve our inspection processes.
