DISCLOSURE:

The National Assisted Living Risk Retention Group (NALRRG) is an insurance company, organized as a Risk Retention Group, that was developed by the North Carolina Association, Long Term Care Facilities. 

The NALRRG is offering General and Professional Liability insurance coverage for Assisted Living Facilities located in North Carolina and other states.

Note: The appropriate web sites are activate and you may follow the procedures below to become a member and obtain insurance:

Question: “How to Become a Member/Insured of the National Assisted Living Risk Retention Group (NALRRG)”:

Answer:  (Two Parts: (1) & (2), below...)

(1) You must be a member of the North Carolina Association, Long Term Care Facilities (NCALTCF) to participate in the NALRRG. To become an association member, please fill out a membership application form, which can be obtained through one of the following two methods:

Via the Internet at:

Or you may visit the: 

• NCALTCF website under Join NCALTCF and locate the ADOBE PDF formatted form, fill in the required information, and fax it back to the fax number given as per instructions on the form

Or

• You can contact the NCALTCF staff directly by phone at (919) 787-3560 or toll-free at 1(888)-NCALTCF (622-5823).

Note: New members must fill in the required information on the membership application and pay either $20 per licensed bed, with an option to pay installment as indicated on the membership application. Initial Membership starts on the date payment is received at the NCALTCF offices.

The membership application and annual dues should be mailed to:

(2) Simultaneously obtain:

1. An “Offering Statement”, 

2. A “Subscription Agreement” and 

3. An “Insurance Application” for general and professional liability insurance in the National Assisted Living Risk Retention Group.

Note: An “Offering Statement”, “Subscription Agreement” and “Insurance Application” may be completed simultaneously via the Internet or by contacting Ann Cranford at the Cranford Agency. If you are not already an association member, an application for membership with the NCALTCF must also be completed and received.

In order to obtain coverage, you MUST complete and/or sign the following:

1. NCALTCF Association Membership Application (if not already a member)

2. “Offering Statement”- Must be read and signed to become a shareholder

3. “Insurance Application”

4. “Subscription Agreement”

5. Send a check made payable to:
   “National Assisted Living Risk Retention Group”
   made out for $35/bed for each facility you own and/or operate in North Carolina and wish to have insured
   (Note: This is not premium).

NOTE: No partial payment of the investment amount will be accepted.

Coverage will be bound within two (2) to five (5) business days of receipt of the “Application for Insurance” and all other required items listed above by Venture Captive Management, who will then approve binding through the Cranford Agency (upon verification of payment of capital and executed offering statements received by Venture Captive Management).

NOTE: NO INSURANCE MAY BE BOUND UNTIL THE ABOVE FIVE ITEMS ARE COMPLETE AND RECEIVED BY VENTURE CAPTIVE MANAGEMENT, LLC.
