Historical Background The Educational Foundation is a not-for–profit organization formed in 1979. The organization is exempt from Federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as other than a private foundation. It was organized for the purpose of promoting educational programs for the long-term care facilities industry in North Carolina.
Goals and Objectives To conduct and sponsor quality educational programs of all types related to the care of the elderly and disabled resident. To foster the accumulation and exchange of educational and scientific knowledge of and to publish and disseminate information pertaining to the care of residents in all types of Assisted Living facilities. To promote consistently high levels of quality care provided to residents of Assisted Living facilities through the educational programs in order to protect the human rights and assure the personal dignity of all residents of Assisted Living facilities.
Giving to the Education Foundation The Education Foundation is a 501-3(C) non-profit organization. All contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible. Ways to support the Foundation are by attending offered CEU classes, advertising in the Focus newsletter, and participating in our Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser. Information on team sponsorship and in-kind donations for our fund raising event are available in the beginning of the year. But anyone can contribute anytime to the Foundation.
